Alfonso
de Castille (Music): On January 6, 1968, the newly-crowned monarchs
of the West, William the Silent and Sheryl of Thespis (Countess Amina Sherana
de Talavera), founded the Order of the Laurel and admitted Beverly Hodghead
and Alfonso de Castille as the first two members. Among his many accomplishments,
Master Alfonso served as Minister of Arts & Sciences for the Barony
of Ered Sul in Atenveldt.
Piers Howells de Cambria (Weaving/Fiber Arts): Piers Howells de Cambria received his Award of Arms in 1973 and was admitted to the Order of the Leaf of Merit (West) on January 12, 1974. He and his lady wife Ximena Aubel de Cambria served as Baron and Baroness of the Angels from May 1974 to April 1977, at which time he was made a Court Baron. He was elevated to the Order of the Laurel in August 1975 for his skill in weaving and fiber arts. Randall of Hightower (Research/Poetry): Randall of Hightower was admitted to the Order of the Laurel in the West on January 8, 1971, at the West Kingdom's 12th Night & Coronation by King Jean and Queen Ellen. Master Randall served for many years in the Society College of Heralds. He passed away on December 31, 1987. Grim Finch (Poetry): Lord Grim received a Harp Argent for Poetry on February 14, 1996 and was elevated to the Order of the Laurel for Poetry and Leatherwork on June 12, 1999 by al-Tomuki and Luciana, King and Queen of Caid. He passed away on May 12, 2000. Raoul the Urbane ( Musical Composition and Performance): Master Raoul was elevated to the order of the Laurel on Oct 6, 1979 by Radnor & Shannon-Morgan, King and Queen of the West. He passed away on Sat., December 30, 2006. |
